A new spin on an old concept.

The Lapro Electric Resonator Guitar is a new spin on an old concept combining elements of squareneck resonator and lap steel guitars.  It combines new technology with traditional features to take the resonator guitar to a fresh yet familiar place.  The Lapro features a lathed hard maple resonator cone with a neck-through body design.  The maple resonator cone sports a piezo transducer providing a bright, responsive, yet feedback resistant, tone while the body mounted magnetic pickup brings a full bodied electric tone.  The result is a strong tone with expressive depth and sensitivity.  It is available in Roundneck and Squareneck configurations.

The guitars are built in the workshop of Mankato Woodworks in Mankato, MN. They are the creation of Dave Begalka, a luthier with over 17 years of professional guitar repair and building experience and a graduate of the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery.
